Chatty Tuesday

Chatty Tuesday launched in Autumn term 2021 in response to the impact of school closures and COVID 19. This time was significantly hard for children and their parents.

When school reopened to all children, we identified a number of children who suffered from separation anxiety, low self-esteem and general worries about home and school life. We  introduced Chatty Tuesday as an opportunity for children to have 1:1 time with an adult and talk through their worries and stresses. The impact of the Chatty Tuesday was clearly evident at home and at school. Children's confidence grew and they developed strategies on how to deal with their emotional well-being.

Fast forward two years and Chatty Tuesday has gone from strength to strength.

It really is the icing on our well-being cake!

Who runs Chatty Tuesday?

Chatty Tuesday is ran by Mrs Quill. The children are identified through discussions with class teachers, Miss Cassidy and parents. Our aim to is improve the well-being and mental health of our families.

How long are the sessions?

Every child is different, so sessions can be for 6 weeks or longer. Circumstances can change and our mental health changes throughout the day. Each child receives a minimum of 20 minutes 1:1 with Mrs Quill. Sessions are held in our well-being room.

What training has Mrs Quill had?
